Looks like [info]vartan isn't the only kid with an obscure favorite show from their childhood.

I present "Zazoo U": a show that is so obscure, neither wikipedia or youtube know of it.  It took me almost and hour and a half this morning just to find the title.

See, sometime during the two hours of 'No, really, there is something besides sex that feels this good? " that was my facial/massage mother's day present I began contemplating things that I haven't contemplated in almost twenty years.  Watching TV at 7am on a random Saturday in 1990 must have come up because I had to find this show this morning.

From IMDB:
"The show was very 'artsy' and I mean that in a good way. More effort was put into the scripts and voices than the animation. Each episode would revolve around some type of 'life lesson' but didn't cram it down your throat. Anyway, apparently the show was so different and 'artsy' that most of the Fox affiliates refused to air it."

ummm...so...yeah
This actually says a lot about me for being written to fit anyone ^_^

You are a very sensitive person and you try hard (perhaps a little too hard) to make favourable impressions and to be recognised by your peers. But you have that inherent need to feel appreciated and admired and you are easily hurt if all of your endeavours go by unappreciated or not acknowledged. Stop trying so hard.

You are totally dissatisfied with your present situation. Matters are not going right for you and you are seeking a means of escape. Your mental state of mind necessitates that you need to change your thinking patterns. Remember, if one particular modus operandi doesn't seem to work, then try something different.

You are a dreamer and you seek perfection in any relationship that you may establish. Some of your ideas and standards are over the top so it may be a good idea to review your perception of life and accept people for what they are - not for what you would like them to be.

You are experiencing extreme frustration at this point of time, trying to achieve security and peace of mind, but whatever you seem to do doesn't effect the situation. You are worn out and your energy is being seriously depleted. You may be experiencing what is known as 'heartache' - both mentally and physically. You are a listener and you listen and respond to everything that is going on around you. You feel that all that life has to offer should be within your grasp and you would like to participate in every part of it but the situation is such that every door seems to be closed to you. You just can't understand why that is. But it is - and what's more you feel powerless to change it.

Overwork - be it mental stress or physical strain, you are completely worn out and this depleted vitality has created an intolerance for any further stimulation. You feel disappointed with your obvious lack of energy and powerless to do anything about it. You are angry with yourself and this frustration shows. You are contradictory and argumentative and feel helpless to change the situation at this time. Take a break - even if it is only for a few days - allow yourself to breath, to unwind - you'll feel much better for it. Then trust and let go.

School Stuff [Apr. 7th, 2008|07:48 pm]

So I've been eating a lot of sushi lately. Well, mostly Philly rolls. *yum*

Just keep that in the back of your head.

I had to go back to my report card comments and add a line that says "and congratulations to __________ for earning Honor Roll this quarter." to all of my honor roll kids cards.

And after the fifth time writing this my brain starts to ask me "exactly what kind of fish would one include in Honor Roll?"

*weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

[mood | tired]

So tired...

Thank you to everyone who commented and wished me well after Wednesday.  I'm trying to not be a big depressed mess, and I think it's working. I've got a pretty interesting bruise on my boob/shoulder area, but my knee is ok. Chris and I found a car we think we like for me, we just have to get out to see it.

I'm not so sure about the school I'm working at.  It's sooooooo much more well off than the other schools I've been at.  I don't mind affluence, but I really hope they are grateful for everything they have, because I've seen the other side of it.

My brain is buzzing after everything I've gotten thrown at me the last two days, but I'm sure I'll get more to think about soon enough, school starts on Monday!

Speakin' of kids starting school, Ev's been in daycare a whole 3 days and came home with a cold last night...bah...I think they feed them germs there or something.

Someone think good thoughts at me, I need it ^_^

In case you didn't know: [May. 23rd, 2006|05:34 pm]
[mood | WTF?!?!]

I HATE TOWSON UNIVERISTY!

but, let me tell you why.

I went up there today with Ev (who has scarlet fever by the way, and, before anyone says anything that starts with a 'Q' and ends with 'uarentine', he's not contagious) to drop off a final exam. My teacher barely understands how a phone works, I am not trusting this to email.  So I go up and drop off the test.

I'm on my way back to the car, Ev strapped in the stroller because I hate chasing him around in case he got tired , and outside Towsontown garage, I trip and fall.  In order of occurance: I do something funny to my ankle, scream, fall down, start crying, and tip Ev's stroller over. The stroller falls backwards and lands on the handles so Ev is perfectly fine, but instantly upside down.

The guy who was walking two feet ahead of me turns around, looks at us, and walks away.  The two girls that were behind me step into the street to walk around us.

Evan starts whimpering and while I'm crawling towards him I realize my back is fucked up and I messed up my knee without tearing my pants, when two more girls walk past us. I'm apparently taking a rest in the middle of the sidewalk with my son upside down...yeah, that's what it had to look like.

I understand people aren't perfect...BUT WHEN DID HELPING A HURT  WOMAN AND HER BABY (ok) SMALL CHILD GO UP FOR GRABS??!!?!

And these people are going to be in positions of management, if not real power one day?

I don't understand.  I called mom and chris and liz and told them. They didn't understand either.

I came home and in my anger I decided to flag.  I practised Magna Carta stuff.  Since I was 'flagging' with a boken because Chris has the flags in the truck I practised Bleach too.

My back started to hurt.
I did the flag routine twice more.

My ankle started to hurt.
I did three more 'ooooooh-hooooooo-oooooooh' sets.

Bah.  I'm sick of my back hurting and I'm really sick of that school.  At least I only have one more year there.

I'm off to do costume stuff and decide what combination of cheese, pasta, and tomato sauce I want to eat tonight.

Bridging the gaps between unfriended people:

Kathy and Dave are both asking all their mutual friends if they are interested in going to see Play! in July.

If you asked one person, let the other person know you are on with them. Or maybe you guys can talk so we can try to sit together. ^_^ (because you know we don't spend enough time together!)

Please let them know if you are interested. Chris and I are ^_^

The skit is wonderful! You all look amazing! No one in the audience will be bored, everyone will be entertained. You have done it again, and it is great! Congratulations and I hope the Katsu judges have half a brain and like it as much as I did!
